Faris Ishaq
Faris Ishaq was born in Beit Sahour, Palestine. He obtained a BA degree in Music Therapy from SRH University in Heidelberg/Germany and a MA degree in Contemporary Music Performance (Global Jazz Concentration) from Berklee College of Music in Boston/USA.
Faris has worked as a music therapist in Palestine with children with autism and children who suffer from difficulties in their behavior and communication. He has participated in and led challenging music outreach projects in various countries including working with refugees from Palestine, Syria, and Iraq, working with underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic and in maximum security prisons in the United States. In addition to this, he worked as academic assistant at the Berklee College of Music.
Faris is also an internationally recognized Nay master, musician, composer, and music arranger. His global experience includes performing music in major concert halls and festival as well as composing, arranging, and producing music for films and art collaborations and leading, conducting, and arranging for various ensembles and orchestras.
