Paper Orchestra Qastina

Each year, a new group of first-graders join the after school program Sounds of Palestine. After two years in kindergarten, enjoying music once a week with our kindergarten program, they choose an instrument in the first grade. During the first month, they play with rhythm sticks and on ‘paper instruments’: instruments we make together with the children. The children learn how to hold the instrument, how to have a correct posture and of course they sing! Our new group is again named after a destroyed village: Qastina.  You can see pictures of our new paper orchestra and our other students here.
