Music Summer School 2016
We held our yearly Music Summer School in August, 2016, in which more than 60 children from Aida, al-Azzeh and Dheisheh refugee camp participated in a daily program for two weeks.

Preparation School Exams
The children of Sounds of Palestine have exams in school this month, so our social workers help the children to study together and prepare for their exams.

Orchestra Games
One of our favorite orchestra games is ‘Police and Criminal’: One child is the police and waits outside of the orchestra room. Another child is the criminal and makes a ‘musical crime’.

Mother’s Day
Today is Mother’s Day in the Middle East. The children played music for their mothers, gave them a flower and expressed one by one why they love their mom.

Christmas Concert in the Peace Center
We would like to thank the Municipality of Bethlehem for inviting Sounds of Palestine’s orchestra to perform during the Christmas Festival on the 10th of December. Congratulations Retaj and Mustafa!
Cello students Retaj Zboun (al-Azzeh refugee camp) and Mustafa al-Kurd (Aida refugee camp), both 8 years old, participated in the 7th Magnificat String Competition in Jerusalem. We congratulate them with their great accomplishments, winning the 3rd and the 1st prize in their category!

A new school year has started. There are new children in the kindergartens following our weekly music appreciation lessons, and the oldest kindergarten children became first-graders in primary school.
